Dali Day II
After touring the castle we finished our drive for the day in Figueres, Dali’s hometown!! We had a wonderful new apartment there, very close to the city center and Dali —his home, church and museum. His museum was a theatre which had burnt down and was next to the church he grew up in. I can say nothing about it other than you MUST experience it!! It was amazing to watch people and their expressions and joy at this place. Dali was of course in charge of the whole thing, which you know as soon as you see it. Robert was going to go and do the castle and leave me on my own to visit Dali, but after reading about it, he decided he had to see it too!! And he was so glad that he had the whole Dali experience. Dali is buried here in the museum. Pictures now and then on to day three.
