Well, we’re finally on our way. It’s such a long trip to Europe from New Zealand that we always stop over for a day in Singapore to break the trip up. It’s 10 1/2 hours from Christchurch to Singapore and another 12 to Europe, so it’s close to halfway. We have a favorite hotel that we stay at outside of the city center and near East Coast Park which is a nice area to walk to and see all the boats at anchor. Singapore is one of the busiest container ports in the world and a major shipyard so there’s always an impressive number of boats out there. Singapore is always building as well as you can see from the picture from our hotel room. In this case it’s an extension to the subway system. In a few hours it’s off to the airport for our flight to Munich. More later!
